How to add a signature
to Mozilla Thunderbird?

01Step 1 of 2

Open Account Settings

Click the menu button (☰) and choose Account Settings. Do not open the general Settings page — the signature is not there. If Account Settings is missing from that menu, right-click the account in the folder list and choose Settings. Then click the account name itself, not Server Settings or another subpage.

iLook for the highlighted control in the preview.

Paste your signature

In the Signature box, check Use HTML — that is Thunderbird’s own checkbox, and the pasted signature needs it. Click in the box and paste once (Ctrl+V / ⌘V). To include it on replies, open Composition & Addressing under that same account. Close Account Settings when you are done.

iKeep the original formatting when pasting.
