How to add a signature
to Gmail on iPhone?

01Step 1 of 2

Open Gmail in Safari

On iPhone, open Safari (not the Gmail app) and go to gmail.com. Sign in. Tap Aa on the address bar, then Request Desktop Website. You should see the full Gmail web layout, not the compact app.

iLook for the highlighted control in the preview.

Paste in Gmail settings

Follow the Gmail web guide from there: gear → See all settings → Signature → Create new → paste once → set both defaults → Save Changes. The Gmail app’s own Signature field is a separate, plain mobile line — leave it off or keep it to one short sentence so it does not stack under the real signature.

iKeep the original formatting when pasting.
